Besides cleaning, I love everything about spring. The flowers, the holidays, the cool air turning just a little warmer. It’s heaven. But my absolute favorite thing about spring: the blooms.
In order to get ready for spring, I wanted to try out making a floral hanger for the corner of my guest room. But to be honest – I’ll probably keep it there year-round!
Making the hanger is super easy and doesn’t require glue (yuck) or sewing (nope).
An embroidery hoop
Ripped Fabric (I used a two inch ripped fabric about 20 inches long)
Faux Flowers (with leaves)
String or Twine
Optional: Leaf strand.
1. Wrap the embroidery hoop with the fabric. Make sure it’s tight. You can secure using the clamp of the hoop or tie with the twine.
2. Cut four 20 inch pieces of string or twine. Attach them to the mobile so that they can be used to secure together at the top. This will be how you hang it up. I gathered them with the hoop still on the counter to make sure it was balanced. When you tie all four together you may want to use a knot that creates a loop, to make hanging easier.
3. Cut sections of the faux flower bunches. Use different length twine to attach the the stem of the flowers and leaves to the hoop.
4. Once attached. you can adjust the lengths and cut the access string. I also added in the gold leaves – which I found easily online.
