A Christmas Cookie Exchange is a fantastic way to gather with friends and family while eating delicious cookies of all different varieties. The idea of a Cookie Exchange, or Cookie Swap is that every guest brings a certain number of cookies that they baked to share with other guests at the party.
Our Cookie Exchange is this weekend – and I have yet to decide which cookies I will be baking. For this year, we asked each guest to bring 4 dozen of their favorite homemade cookies. We will be having about 20 people over. We bought a bunch of tins last year (after Christmas sale!) and each guest will get a cookie cutter with a “Thank You” tag.
We are planning on doing some games – guessing games, trivia etc. So I stopped at HomeGoods and Target for some fun baking/drinking prizes.
I’ll have more to report on the Cookie Swap next week, I created a bunch of printables to make the party planning process easier. The digitial kit is for sale on Etsy (link below) for $4. It has: an invitation template, recipe cards, thank you tags, cookie trivia (and answer key), cookie name cards, and a cookie ballot for voting which cookies win various categories.
